How the NeighbourLink Office Resource Works

Our office resource centre is the centralized hub for our activities. Clients call in requests to the office or volunteers call in to report their hours or our dedicated office volunteers are busy fielding calls here - every day is different and after 20+ years of calls, we still get requests we haven’t heard before!

If you have a request for us:

  1. If you are requesting a ride, make sure you have all the appointment details ready - the date, the time, and the location of the appointment. Please give us as much notice as possible.

  2. Call our office resource centre at 250-404-4673 and leave a detailed message including your name, phone number and the appointment details.

  3. Our office volunteers check the messages Monday to Friday and will put out your request to our groups of volunteers.

  4. If there is an available volunteer who is willing to take you to your appointment, the volunteer will call you and confirm that you have a driver.

  5. Once the appointment is over, one of our office volunteers will call you, just to check in to make sure that everything went well - your safety and satisfaction is our greatest priority!
